Champlain 2013: Echo en Fête [fr]
The performers that make up the L’écho d’un peuple megashow invite you to come join the fun at two very special events dedicated to commemorating the 400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain’s arrival in Ontario!
Friday, August 9
A “New France” feast with Voyageur Christian Pilon, stories and legends, a nature trail, and a spectacle organized by an entire village of almost 200 people in period costume, the CHAMPLAIN’S NEW WORLD show, a concert with LES ST-PIERRE, a period-authentic dance, and a party with First Nations artists.
Saturday, August 10
‘PADDLE ON’: FROM 1800 TO THE PRESENT DAY!
French-Canadian buffet with Voyageur Christian Pilon, stories and legends with Le Cercle des conteurs de l’Est de l’Ontario, challenges, a village-wide spectacle, a show with Jean-Marc Lalonde et LES AFFREUX LURONS DU TABERNAC, period-authentic dances and new songs from L’écho with guest performers including Manon Séguin, Martine Lafontaine and Martin Massé!
All of these activities take place at the same place as the L’écho d’un peuple megashow, Drouin Farm (1230 Route 400E, Casselman – Exit 66 on Highway 417).
