The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culturesfrance have launched a new grant program to help publishers offset the cost of acquiring the rights for books translated from the French.
English-speaking Canadian publishers wishing to participate and seeking a grant through this program should fill in the form below and send it to the attention of Léa Deshusses at lea.deshusses@diplomatie.gouv.fr (until August 31st, 2010) or David Gressot at david.gressot@diplomatie.gouv.fr (from September 1st, 2010).
Please send the application form bellow along with the signed balanced budget and a scanned copy of the assignment rights contract if already available. You will need to fill out one application per book. Only applications for unpublished works may be submitted since CulturesFrance and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs will need to be credited in the book.*
This is a bi-annual program. In order to be processed, all information should be received by September 15th, 2010.
