Marcel Babin: Speaker for the Poles

On March 29, Marcel Babin, the Canada Excellence Research Chair on the Arctic and Director of the Unité mixte internationale (UMI) between Laval University in Quebec City and France’s National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), was invited to present his observations and measurements on environmental changes in the Arctic at the Embassy of France.
About 50 people came to listen to the specialist and ask questions on a subject very important to Canadians, with researchers from all areas, foreign diplomats, and a representative of the Canadian government as well as other residents of the Ottawa region in attendance.
