The National Symposium on adaptation to climate change held in Ottawa and organized by the Ouranos consortium from April 12 to 14, 2016 brought together representatives of industry, governments, non-governmental organizations, practitioners, scientists, policy makers to discuss and learn about the latest products and tools in the field of impacts and adaptation to climate change in Canada.
The Canadian Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable James Gordon CARR, as well as Ms Florence FERRARI , Minister- Counsellor at the Embassy of France in Canada and Mr Abdollah LKAHYA , Minister Counsellor at the Embassy of Morocco in Canada took this opportunity to join the participants at the end of the first day of the Symposium. They reminded the audience the determination of the three countries in the implementation of the Paris agreement in which adaptation to Climate Change plays a major role, and they also embody continuity between the French presidency of the COP21 and the Moroccan presidency of the COP22.
