The Ambassador’s first visit to Manitoba [fr]

The Ambassador of France in Canada, Mr. Philippe Zeller, will make his first visit to Manitoba from Tuesday, October 9 to Thursday, October 11, 2012.

He will be accompanied by the new Consul General of France in Toronto, Mr. Jean-François Casabonne Masonnave.

During his first visit, the Ambassador of France in Canada, accompanied by the Consul General of France in Toronto, will meet with the Minister of Public Safety, the Honourable Vic Toews; the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba, the Honourable Philip S. Lee; the Premier of Manitoba, the Honourable Greg Selinger; and the Mayor of the City of Winnipeg, His Worship Sam Katz.

On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, Ambassador Zeller will attend Centrallia, a global small and medium-sized business forum that also works to promote the economic aspects of the Francophonie. He will be accompanied by the Head of the French Trade Commission in Canada (UBIFRANCE), Mr. Axel Baroux.

Ambassador Zeller will attend meetings organized between the government of Manitoba and the government of the region of Lower Normandy. The delegation representing Lower Normandy will be led by Mr. Laurent Beauvais, the President of the Regional Council of Lower Normandy.
