Official French language diplomas (DELF-DALF)

- Why take the DELF and the DALF ?

The Diplôme d’Etudes en Langue Française (DELF) and the Diplôme Approfondi en Langue Française (DALF) are official diplomas awarded by the Ministry of Education in France to certify foreign candidates’ proficiency in French language.

  • The top levels of the DALF give access to all French universities and to an ever growing number of European and francophone universities, eliminating the need for pre-admission French language tests.
  • The DELF and the DALF are a plus to your resumé. Their quality is recognized all over the world, notably by French and European employers. DELF-DALF exam centres are present in 163 countries.

- Diplomas for each level

The DELF and the DALF system is made up of 6 independent diplomas corresponding to the six different levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL), so you can chose the level corresponding to your proficiency and work your way up !

The DELF also exists in Braille.
